7 months have flown by and my baby doesn’t feel so tiny anymore. We have phased more and more out of the “baby” stages as Jack is wanting to be more independent. I can’t recall the last time I swaddled him or the last time he laid on the floor playing on his floor mat. Everyday is a new adventure as he grows and becomes his own person.
I’m loving the stage that he is in right now. He loves to sit on the floor and play with his blocks and stacking rings. Jack still loves his toys that make noise and his books. He’s more hands on and wants to crawl so bad to everything he sees. Yesterday Seth caught him trying to pull himself up to his toy box and was throwing a few toys on to the floor. Earlier in the week I was sweeping his room and moved him from the floor into his crib quick and he was very quick to want to grab the sides of the crib and try and pull himself up.
Jack has the best smile. It’s still toothless but I can see them appearing in the near future. His laugh is the best sound in the world to our ears. And I think if we had a dollar everytime we said “oh my goodness how in the world is he sooooo cute” we could be millionaires. We are so in love with our baby boy that I can’t even put it into words.
At 7 months he went to his trust action with our friend Sarah, got his first haircut/trim and started sleeping in his crib at night.
Jack loves: blocks, stacking rings, books, baths, watching the fish in the fish tank, swinging, walks, solid foods, sleeping in his crib all night and for naps, being on a good schedule/routine.
Jack doesn’t like: anyone else to try and put him to bed besides his mama, loud laughs, or the many times he has fallen over as he tries reaching for a toy while wanting to crawl.
We will never forget: his smile and laugh, his love for petting dogs, that he hasn’t slept through the night in the past 2 months.
I can’t ask for a better baby! Jack is super easy going and can be taken almost anywhere without a peep. He loves sticking to his schedule but is also very easy going when we want to be out and about. His teeth have been feeling ouchy leading us to believe that they will pop out soon. Soon he will be crawling but for now I need to enjoy the fact that he isn’t all over the place.
We love our baby boy and can’t imagine what life would be like without him!
