Here’s a tour into my house. I’d love to share more as I finish more of my house. When we purchased our house it was painted in cream contractors paint and it took me a year to find a color that I was completely happy with. Our main level is very open and I wanted a color that worked in every room along with our cream kitchen cabinets. I found the perfect color with help of a friend!
I dusted and swept so I decided to take you on a small tour. I dust and sweep more frequent than I would like to admit…that’s the clean freak in me. So here we go…
Living Room Color: Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore found at ACE Hardware. We went with the top of the line paint brand that Valspar carries because our main floor is well traveled and I plan on never painting again, ha! The coverage was awesome and I am super happy with how it turned out!
Decor: I’m a Tjmaxx and Hobby Lobby shopper for the most part. Other pieces come from Anthro, Target, Local Antique Stores & Pier1.
Curtians from Target. (Color grey – on sale now for buy 1 get 1 50% off). Couch from local furniture store that has gone out of business. Coffee Table I bought off a friend that had already been redone. Shelves are from the blog Shanty 2 Chic and built by my husband. Tv stand came from a local Antique Shop, along with the ladder and blue side table. Chairs from Pier1. Ottoman from Target.
White flower lamp from Hobby Lobby along with all frames and wording decor. Frame with “gather” came from Hobby Lobby and the metal “gather” came from Magnolia Market.
Jack’s toy boxes. One filled with toys and the other with books. Boxes are from Target and match the ones in his room that hold diapers and creams on his changing table.
My Douwsma letters started when a friend gave me the “D” for my birthday. And the rest were found at tjmaxx and Hobby Lobby.
Jumparoo found at BabiesRUs and Jack wants you to know it’s the coolest thing ever!
I guess I never took a picture but these seasonal pictures will give you an idea. p.s. I rearrange a lot! And clean! Ha.
I sit at my coffee table and do my bible studies and devotional. I recently found a basket to keep all my bibles, journals, devotional and bible study so I didn’t have a huge pile of books sitting on my table like I normally did. It looks a bit cleaner!
And if you really were wondering what under my tv stand…candles and more candles! Some extra decor I was too lazy to carry downstairs. My favorite Bath and Body candle scents: pineapple mango, summer boardwalk, watermelon lemonade, leaves and autumn.
We spend lots of time on these floors reading and playing!
What room would you like to tour next? Let me know in the comments!
